Standard Electric Motors
Our standard motors are manufactured in accordance with table of standards IEC72-1 and dimensionally to IEC34-7 & standardised voltages IEC38 & CEI8-6.
IE2 – (High) From June 2011all motors for use in the EU will comply to the new standard IEC60034-30. This standard applies to 3 Phase, 50 & 60Hz motors 2, 4 or 6 pole, rated between 0.75Kw – 375Kw with voltages up to 1000v and rated S1 or S3 duty. The standard does not apply to Brake motors or single phase motors.
IE3 – (Premium) From 1st January 2015 all motor rated between 7.5Kw & 375Kw shall meet the new standard or meet IE2 and be inverter driven.
From 1st January 2017 all motors rated between 0.75Kw & 375Kw shall meet the new standard or meet IE2 and be inverter driven.
3 Phase Motors IE2 & IE3
Type M – Single speed 0.06Kw to 22kw, 2, 4, 6 & 8 pole.
Type DP – Two speed 2/4, 4/6, 4/8, 2/6, 2/8, 6/8, & 2/12 pole.
Type MQ – As above but in square casing
1 Phase Motors
Type MM – Single sped 0.06Kw to 2.2Kw, 2, 4 & 6 pole
Type MDC – As above but with centrifugal switch.
Type MDV – As above but with voltage relay.
Type MDE – As above but electronic relay.
1 Phase & 3 Phase Brake Motors

Type MA – Single speed 0.06Kw to 22kw, 2, 4, 6 & 8 pole.
Type MADP – Two speed 2/4, 4/6, 4/8, 2/6, 2/8, 6/8, & 2/12 pole.
1 Phase Brake Motors
Type MMA – Single speed 0.06Kw to 22kw, 2, 4, 6 & 8 pole.
Type MADC – As above but with centrifugal switch.
Type MADV – As above but with voltage relay.
Type MADE – As above but electronic relay.
